Anime Arena currently features 5 player characters to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses and backstory.

1. Firestorm: A skilled swordsman and master chef of flame-grilled chicken, primary suspect in a corporate arson case. He enjoys cookouts and barbecue wherever he goes.
2. Four: Always on the move, a speedy whirlwind that dishes it out quickly. She's number Four on the International Most Wanted list.
3. Surge: Known as a public nuisance at water parks, Surge rides the waves with a frosty side. Wanted for questioning regarding numerous incidents involving vending machines.
4. The Twins: Kicked out of the city, this duo is a formidable tank skilled at dirty urban combat tactics. The world is their playground. Suspected of serial chain theft from hardware stores.
5. Sirin: An escapee from "The Academy of Dark Arts" boarding school, Sirin is skilled at fencing and moves in mysterious ways. Her family has posted a $250,000 Missing Persons reward.
